A Hearty Story From Me To You

Okay, so I had let everyone know over on my other blog, Diabetes Notes, about my crazy week, but I forgot to mention it over here. My lil’ one had surgery last Friday and she is having a very tough time. It seems that she has developed an infection at her surgery site, throat and nose. She is only 5, she has been such a trooper though!

They changed her antibiotics around and drew some blood to double check that nothing went systemic, which I am sure it didn’t, but I feel so darn bad for my lil’ girl! I am hoping that life gets back to normal soon. I feel like it is always something! But I think with the new meds on board, we should turn the corner soon.

So… I should be back in top form in the next day or so. Unfortunately, when you work and have kids something has to give, and that has been my writing. I don’t have the option of calling out at the hospital or at home, so I have had to take a bit of a break here on the computer.
