A Hot Topic

It might not be something everyone likes to talk about in public, well, no one I know at least, but the subject of sex is a good one to pursue in your journal. Natalie Goldberg mentions this topic in her book Writing Down the Bones. Don’t be afraid to write about such things in your journal. You may find it a liberating experience. Try writing in response to these prompts:

What makes you feel sexy?
What part of your body do you think is sexy?
Describe what sex is like; try to use metaphors and other descriptive language.
What language do you use when talking about sex among your friends and with your partner?
