Xingping or Li River in China

Location: The Xingping or Li River
Destination: Xingping
Country: North Central China

Photographer: Dinh Cuong Vu
Site: Flickr

Here’s yet one more great photo from Dinh Cuong Vu, another regular contributor to the Travel Photo Daily Flickr group

This photo is of the Xingping or Li River, where it’s common to take a raft trip down the river.  The river is known for steep cliffs, fantastic landscapes and gently flowing waters. The town of Xingping is over 1,000 years old and hosts the Tengjiao Temple, built during the Ming Dynasty in 1599.
