A Lovely Diabetic Quiz

Partners can help or sometimes be toxic for diabetes control. They may
not even know they are impacting the health of their loved one. When
dating, some people keep their diabetes to themselves, while others wear
their type 1 or type 2 diabetes on their sleeve and make it part of their
introductions. Being close with someone means that they need to know what
diabetes involves on a daily basis. For those who have diabetes, it’s
important to have a partner who supports them and their efforts to keep
their blood sugar under control.

This is so true. I know that in some situations ones partner can truly affect their diabetes, both positively and negatively. Personally, my hubby is all about my diabetes and always has been. He looks out for me and alters his diet and lifestyle to help me with my plan of treatment.

Here is an neat little test that Marijke sent to me. It is from dLife and is worth a peek. The test is called “Is Your Partner Bad For Your Diabetes?”. It examines emotional and physical relationship issues, blood sugar testing before sex, depression and emergent events.
