A new color toy!

I mean, serious tool and entire course in color theory, set up and hosted by Roger Mayer of Brown University. It has sections which discuss both electronic and pigment-based color.

It also has lessons in areas of color mixing and psychology that I’ve not seen elsewhere…or at least not in as readable a form! I’m adding this one to our list of great color tools on the web.

  1. I saved this in favorites. I really like the idea of the psychology of color. I love bright and shiny and my daughter likes very soft pastels. Trying to make things for her is a real challenge as I keep reaching for beads or fabrics with just a hint more color and then realize it’s too much for her. Why do we like the colors we like? Well, I’ll see what this course has to say about color. Thanks.

I really love this too! I studied the subject a long time ago, but I’m feeling ready for an update :)
