A new home for Sydney’s School

The Sydney’s School For Autism in Tampa, Florida, will be able to expand from five to 25 students thanks finding a new space in the former St. Patrick Catholic School, which has closed. Kathy Swenson opened the school in 2004 and named it for her daughter, as reported in today’s Tampa Tribune

Things happen for a reason,” said Swenson….. “Maybe this is divine intervention.”

As a new school year starts, I wish the best for Swenson and Sydney’s School. From December 2005 – June 2006, my son Charlie attended a small autism school that unfortunately had to close, due to low enrollment. The school was housed within a larger (non-autism) religious school and it was not possible to move it to a new location. I hope Sydney’s School flourishes in its new location for many new school years to come.
