A Non-Mental Christmas Eve Survey!

I love Christmas. It’s my favorite time of the year. I realize that not everyone in the world loves or celebrates Christmas, so I’ve toned down my excitement here at Mental Health Notes.

However, I’ll not do that today and tomorrow!

Because it’s Christmas Eve, I thought I’d put a spin on things and share with you guys a Christmas survey that was shared with me. Not exactly mental health-related, but this is the time of year lots of folks are on a vacation from work, right?

1. Hot chocolate or apple cider? Hot chocolate.
2. Turkey or Ham? Neither – vegetarian.
3. Do you get a Fake or Real cut-it-yourself Christmas tree? Fake.
4. Decorations on the outside of your house? Usually. It depends on where I am for Christmas.
5. Snowball fights or sledding? Sledding, definitely.
6. Do you like hanging around the fireplace because it’s warm? I don’t have a fireplace
7. Do you enjoy going downtown shopping? Um…I don’t think I exactly go “downtown” shopping, but yes, I do enjoy Christmas shopping. The crowds and all.
8. Favorite Christmas song? “White Christmas”
9. How do you feel about Christmas movies? They’re great. The old ones are better, but I admit I sometimes get sucked into the Lifetime Christmas movies…eek.
10. When is it too early to start listening to Christmas music? Before Thanksgiving.
11. Stockings before or after presents? Usually after.
12. Carolers? Are fabulous.
13. Go to someone else’s house or they come to you? I go to my parents, and as of late, everyone goes there, too.
14. Do you read the Christmas Story the night before Christmas? No. I suppose I would if I had kids or there were young kids in my family.
15. What do you do after presents and dinner? Most often visit my friends.
16. What is your favorite holiday smell? Cinnamon.
17. Ice skating or walking around the mall? Walking around the mall. I’ve never ice skated.
18. Favorite Christmas tradition? Decorating. That’s when the Christmas season starts!
19. Favorite Part about winter? The feeling in the air.
20. Ever been kissed under the mistletoe? Honestly, I can’t remember, ha!
