Here’s another great photo from Jessica, one of the contributors to the Flickr Travel Photo Daily group.

Located between Daytona Beach to the south and Jacksonville, to the north, St Augustine is the nation’s oldest European-settled city, founded in 1565, as well as the oldest port in America.

The city has a rich history, including being burned after Sir Francis Drake attacked the city.  Later, in 1668, pirates attacked and plundered the city, killing most of the residents.  During it’s long history, it has been attacked by British forces, Seminole Indians, and Union Army troops during the American Civil War.
