  1. Susie says:

Actually I had in two places in same breast: one ductal in situ, one tiny ductal invasive. Protocol: mastectomy, no radiation or chemo, ok by me, I lose boob but get to keep life.

  2. I’ve been blessed that both of my tumors were benign. The wait to find out was terrifying, and my heart and prayers go out for the MANY who’s diagnosis were not as fortunate. My mission is to get the word out about Breast Cancer Awareness since I firmly believe that early detection saves lives.

Susie, life is what matters … you made a great choice, the choice that was right for you!

Debbie, that is a blessing. Early detection does save lives, you’re right, and I appreciate all you are doing to promote that concept!

My wife had DCIS diagnoisis two years ago. She refused traditional treatment and three MRI’s show her getting progressivly better to the point where the Dr. cancled the surgery. There are options. My wife uses bio-identical progesterone, lots of different vitamins, cut out all processed food, sugar and flour are out. She used Temoxifen for 6 weeks but cut that out. Has had three acupunture treatments and herbs from the acupunturist. She practices yoga and meditation three-five times a week.
Just to note that DCIS does not always require surgery or radiation. For more information on our experience or literature that may help write me
