A Problem Most of Us Will Never Have

I just finished watching the movie, Evan Almighty – starring Steve Carell. Don’t worry, I won’t tell you my views on this movie. I don’t review movies in general, and definitely not Hollywood ones. However, there is a scene in this movie that made me think about hair. If you have seen the movie, then you probably know the one I am talking about.
It’s when Evan starts discovering the changes occurring around him. He is doing his morning grooming routine. As soon as he starts shaving, his hair grows back as quickly as it was removed.
How lucky we are, not to have this problem. For those people who think this movie is a perfect example of how power is found in our hair, let me remind you of some very successful spiritual and world leaders who lived sans hair:
Winston Churchill, Mahatma Ghandi, the 14th Dali Lama -Tenzin Gyatso, Franklin Roosevelt (mostly), Dwight Eisenhower, and Pierre Trudeau. All bald leaders….and all dynamic men (in their way) I can go on and on.

I am glad to finally see some writing being done on the blog, but Laura, please do a little research. There has never been anyone named Dali Lama. There is a man with the title of The Dalai Lama; the current Dalai Lama is named Tenzin Gyatso, and is the fourteenth to hold this title.
It’s as though you wrote “Winston Churchill, Mahatma Ghandi, Pope, Franklin Rooservelt (again, spelled wrong — it is ANNOYING to read misspelled posts), Pierre Trudeau…”
Please fix it. I know it’s anal of me to wish I was reading gramatically correct properly spelled posts. I beg you to fix it.
Thanks Anon for the welcome.
I have fixed the errors.
Just to let you know, my post was researched. It just happens to be that in my social circles, if I had mentioned the Dalai Lama by the name Tenzin Gyatso no one would know who I was talking about. Clearly, I am in a new room, altogether. I will work harder to get all of the information I have across to the public.
As for the misspelling of President Roosevelt’s name, well I only have my poor editing skills to blame.
I am glad to know that there is someone paying attention.
Anon, In case you’re unaware, blog writing is a lot more relaxed than other forms of published work. I totally got the gist of what Laura was saying in this post with or without your corrections.
Laura’s point is this:
Our outward appearance should not stop us from accomplishing great things.
Substitute outward appearance with perfect grammar, punctuation, and spelling and you’d get my gist.
Rock on, Laura!
Anon, you spelled “grammatically” wrong…
Thanks Hsien!!!
Rex,
I am appointing you as my new proofreader.
