A Question of Compatibility?

A Question of Compatibility?

A recent question posed by radio hosts Hamish & Andy in their afternoon show, was to do with how we feel about animals. One of the guys confessed he just wasn’t that into animals and the other loved them. This is typical of discussions generated by the guys. One takes a stand for a view and the other will oppose it. I’m not sure that’s really the truth, but they do stir up conversation and that’s always a good thing.

We carried the topic on at home and we concluded it was one of those compatibility issues in the long run. If someone was indifferent towards animals they could hardly make a good match with another who adored them in the long run. But that was out view. What do you think? Can people with opposing views on issues such as the importance of animals, religion, and any other topic you suggest really live together in peace?

Spend some time writing in your journal on what does or doesn’t make couples compatible. What is important to you? What issues are you likely to overlook, in a long term relationship? What issues must your prospective partner agree with? Is this an important issue at all? Spend some time investigating what really matters to you.

I hope you enjoy this journal writing prompt. Please leave any comments in the section below.
