A sigh of relief from Vietnam: No bird flu!

A family of four that fell sick with flu-like symptoms has been declared negative for H5N1. They were brought to the hospital last week with fever, cough and damaged lungs and doctors initially feared it might be bird flu when it was found that they had eaten chicken that fell sick and died.
