A Solar Subdivision To Rise In Maine

A solar home is something that most of us have been planning to build. But living in a solar subdivision would be something really different.

In East Blue Hill in Maine, this is where you would find a solar subdivision. It has not been built yet but it soon will be there. The people behind such a plan say that they are going to call the whole project the Pond House Trail. What makes it a solar subdivision is the fact that the homes that are going to be built there would be using solar energy as the source of power.

Nielsen van Dujin is the architect of the homes on the solar subdivision and he is also the owner of the project. He says, “People are never going to be without power. If Bangor Hydro goes out, people will be able to use all of the appliances in their homes as they normally would.”
