A Survivor’s Garden of Hope

I’ve been quiet the last few days because I’ve been on vacation with my family. I had high hopes of blogging each night from our hotel room but I just haven’t had it in me … in the last four days we’ve been to Water Country USA, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown Settlement, Yorktown Battlefield and Busch Gardens. We’re out of control …
But yesterday I came across the perfect ‘blog post’ site … apparently, in conjunction with 97.3 The Eagle radio station located in Virginia Beach, Busch Gardens planted a Garden of Hope to honor all breast cancer survivors.
Take a look …
Seems the radio stations own Karen, Karen West, is also a survivor.
Anyway, thanks for watching, thanks for reading … thanks for your support. Now … off to Virginia Beach!

What a great blog. I have subscribed to your blog and applaud what you are doing. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Crystal! Glad you’ve subscribed.
For those of you who want to subscribe but don’t know how … look at the upper right hand corner of the blog and you’ll see three ways to do just that by clicking on the links!
Just was catching up on your blog and saw your vacation plan!! Did you recreate the battles at Yorktown! I am sure the trip brought back a few memories!! Luv ya! Chris
Well hello Christine! My kids liked the trip far more than we did when we were kids, let me tell you!
The boys learned how to fire a cannon at Yorktown. Didn’t see the statue of Pocahontas so I couldn’t recreate getting a really big goose egg by her hand (my most painful childhood memory). And you bet I put all three kids in the stockades!
(Love you, too!)
