And for pain, it’s also for:
Fibromyalgia: An autoimmune disease, one where the body attacks itself, fibromyalgia is still a very unknown, misunderstood disease that attacks mostly women. Some good links for fibromyalgia are:
- Questions and Answers about Fibromyalgia
- Fibromyalgia (Mayo Clinic)
- Fibromyalgia(American College of Rheumatology)
Facet Joint Syndrome: A major cause of back pain, facet joint syndrome or facet joint disorder, is caused by the inflammation of the facet joints in the spine. These sites explain it well:
- Facet Joint Syndrome (Cleveland Clinic)
- Facet Joint Syndrome (Spine Universe)

This information is outdated. The cause of FM is known and it can be treated. Go to http://www.drlowe.com/ and spend time learning about fibromyalgia. Keep away from Mayo Clinic types. They have nothing to bring to the table about fibromyalgia. At John Lowe’s site, after you read the introduction, click on Latest Updates in the top right. John wrote the award winning book on fibromyalgia. No one needs to suffer this pain. It is not autoimmune, it is not unknown. There is an answer and it isn’t obscure or difficult.
Hi D., thanks for visiting and commenting here.
I did some research on Dr. Lowe already and am familiar with his ideas. At this point, although I am more than willing to present other opinions, like yours and Dr. Lowe’s, I am not willing to go against common thinking and say that the disease is not autoimmune until I have proof from more than one medical practitioner.
Dr. Lowe is more than welcome to write a guest post for the blog and I will post it if he ever chooses to do so.
