Aging Parents Authority has a great list of Activities To Do With Seniors With Dementia.

Though I don’t have a lot of experience with people with dementia, these look like some great ideas.

Do you have anything to add to the list?

Don’t try to argue a point. People with dementia actually know they don’t remember and that they confuse things. Imagine what its like to think you are losing your mind and are not in control. Just accept their comments at face value. Surround them with love and patience.

This is a great article on alzeimers and dementia- it’s from “Amie’s Blog” at the Senior Resource Network. It’s entitled- Dad’s Odd Behaviors Don’t Mean He Has Alzheimer’s-He’s Just Getting Older, Right?
