Aha! More to back up about laughter being the best medicine

Talking about pain can be a downer sometimes, especially if I’m feeling a bit(??) on the sore side myself. I like a good laugh though and I wish there were more things to laugh about sometimes.
Montreal holds a Just For Laughs festival every year and the festival has launched some major comedy careers – does the name Jerry Seinfeld ring any bells? We get so many comics up here from the new and unknowns to the tried and true icons, like Bill Cosby and Bob Newhart.
I would absolutely love to go to some of these shows but, alas, the ticket prices are usually way out of my price range – and the ones I can afford are usually sold out before I ever hear of them.
Anyway, back to the topic. There’s yet another study on laughter and stress release. In fact, now they’re (“they” being researchers) saying that the very *anticipation* of laughter can help reduce stress levels. So, does that mean we don’t have to remember punch lines – just bringing people to the punch line is enough to help them relax?
