AIDS and pregnancy

When HIV and AIDS was first discovered, those who had the infection didn’t live long enough to be parents. Now, with children who were born with the HIV infection living into adulthood or teens and young adults who are infected are old enough and able to have children, there is a whole new group of mothers who need specialized prenatal care.
