Although the medication – Alpharadin – is not yet on the market, phase II trials are proving promising.
Alpharadin is a medication that has been designed to help people who are living with severe bone pain due to cancer. While it does not cure the cancer, it helps relieve the pain so that the patients are able to enjoy their final months/weeks/days. This type of treatment is called palliative care because it is not aiming to treat but to make people comfortable.
