November 8, 2006 by Mary Emma Allen

A shrinking brain, caused by Alzheimer’s disease leading to nerve cell death and tissue loss, can affect all the brain’s functions, researchers are finding.  (Illustrations of this occurrence is pictured in the Alzheimer’s Association Fall 2006 newsletter.)

(The Alzheimer’s Association also presents more information about this condition of the brain, “Inside the Brain: an Interactive Tour”, on it’s web site: www.alz.org/brain/overview.asp .)
