Alzheimer’s Warning Signs

Several warning signs or symptoms serve as indicators that a person might be developing Alzheimer’s disease.  One or two alone isn’t reason to panic.  However, when a number of these occur, you might want to get more input.

The Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) has information regarding these warning signs on their web site, as well as in brochures you can obtain.

I’ll briefly mention ten of the warning signs or symptoms the Alzheimer’s Association has listed.  Check them out more fully on their site.

*More than normal memory loss

*Experiencing difficulty performing familiar tasks

*Having problems with language and remembering words

*Disorientation regarding time and place

*Increasingly poor judgment

*Difficulties with abstract thinking or complicated tasks

*Misplacing or putting things in strange places

*Mood and behavior swings or changes

*Personailty changes

*Developing passive behavior or exhibiting loss of initiative

Thank you for listening all the symptomps it may appear very important! But it seems that these simptomps may also point to simple absent-mindedness of a person, are there any distinct features to make it clear?

  2. me says:

You’d have to talk with a doctor, someone associated with the Alzheimer’s Association, or other specialist to learn more about the distinct features. However, when these symptoms are more than occasional, it might be time to become concerned and check with the family doctor. Mary Emma
