America’s Largest Family is Getting Larger

Michelle Duggar celebrates Mother’s Day in a much bigger way than any of us mom’s could imagine. She has announced baby eighteen is on the way.

The 41-year old mom, says she’s thrilled the new addition will join the seven sisters and 10 brothers. For Mother’s Day, the kids got together to get mom some pearls with matching pearl earrings. Dad got her a ring.

“We’re enjoying them so much and we would love more, so the lord has seen fit to give us another one and we’re just thankful,” Duggar said.

At 20, the oldest Duggar child is Josh. Jennifer is the youngest at 9-months.

All the children’s names start with the letter “J” and all are home-schooled.

I know the Duggar family claims they are bless.

I know they claim to function quite well with so many kids.

BUT, as the mother of three teenagers – I have to wonder just how much individual and quality time these kids are spending with their parents.

I love the concept and idea of large families, but I think there comes a time when you have to say enough is enough.

Personally, I believe Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar are being selfish in having more and more children.

I’m really curious too — just how are these folks managing with insurance, medical and health care for so many kids?

My grandmother “Doris Dinger” of Sparta, WI had 20 children. My mother Evelyn was the 4th of 20. There were 14 girls and 6 boys. No twins, triplets etc. To date there are 17 still living throughout Wisconsin and Ohio.

Have you ever heard of someone with over 40 kids. The same “Titus” family. I say this because there is someone claiming to be a member of the 29 and two of his sisters have over 40 and a few more have 18-20.!!!!!!

  2. Brian says:

Is it possible that there is a family of 29 children in ILLINOIS? The youngest being in there late 20s or early 30s. Last name is “Titus”

I’d imagine having that many children isn’t for everyone. Especially someone who puts an article on the internet rife with grammatical errors. Good luck with your three teenagers. I hope you’re not home schooling.

i feel if they want to have 100 kids its there choice!! who are you to say they have enough! and there being selfish! them kids look well tooken care of and it wasnt by you it was by there parents so worry about your 3! and until you start taking care of there 17 kids mind your family!!

  5. My grandma has twenty kids, eleven sons and nine sisters and all my uncles and aunts have atleast three kids making us the largest family in Austin,Texas and maybe more. Also our cousins, the Limon’s,are one of the biggest families in Texas with about the same number of family members. We were lucky enough to have been on Good Morning America about five years ago about us being one of the largest families in the country.

  6. morg says:

My grandma and grandpa of Minnesota have 13 girls and 6 boys and my mom the 9th so this family is not the largest.
