An Apology and a Serious Question

First of all if the post i had up earlier offended you because you thought it was racist..I am sorry, truly and deeply sorry.

It did not occur to me that it would be taken as being racist, it did not occur to me that it COULD be taken in a racist way.  Why?

Because I am so totally NOT racist.

Now let me have a little rant of my own.  Since i have been blogging here at MA I have been accused of several things. Hate, anti-feminism, homophobia, racism, and I am sure other crap…I just can’t think of it at the moment.  I now joke that I club baby seals on the weekends because of all of the total crap I am accused of.

You know, there is a point at which we become so over-sensitive that we become victims.  We are constantly offended even when no offense was meant.  I had someone tell me one time that someone had treated them unkindly because they were Christian.  I told them that no, they had been treated unkindly because they acted like an idiot.

There are alot of things we can get offended at.  I will tell you some of mine.

• I am offended that we still have the legalized murder of unborn babies because people would rather consider it bits of flesh
• I am offended that illegal aliens have more government programs in my area that veterans
• I am offended that the Dallas school system is so pathetic that the state is taking it over
• I am offended that people are still martyred for their faith around the world and yet American Christian bitch about the air conditioning or lack of it in a building..or that the Pastor did not say or do something exactly right…
• I am offended that there are protests at funerals for men who have heroically given their lives for the U.S
• I am offended when people ask me why in the world I am proud of my son who is serving in Iraq
• I am even offended when jerky people park in handicapped places when they are not handicapped

Now, here are some facts about me…You can decide of based on these you want to continue reading.

• I would not vote for Obama if he was the only candidate in the election.
• I believe nationalized medicine is a bad idea
• I believe that the Bible, in context, is the final authority on any decision
• I believe that there is right and wrong
• I believe that wives are to be biblically submitted to their husbands
• I believe that husbands are to love their wives sacrificially
• I believe in discipline for children
• I believe that the war in Iraq is necessary and honorable
• I believe that abortion is a crime against humanity
• I believe that homosexuality is unnatural
• I believe that government was never meant to be a babysitter but only to provide military power and general organization to the country.

Now, I have had one of the crappiest days of my entire life..and things are not looking much better for evening.

If you want to get offended…go for it.  But make sure you are being offended for an honorable cause and good reason..NOT because you THINK someone MAY have said something that MIGHT be offensive.
