Are you going to have surgery soon? Is someone you care about going to have surgery soon?

One of the important pre-surgery issues is being prepared for anesthesia, the medication that puts you to sleep for the surgery. One of the main roles of the anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist is to ensure that you are health enough to have anesthetic and that you get the right one in the right amount for your needs.

The American Association of Anesthesiologists has made available this very interesting and helpful document for people who are need anesthesia. Called The Anesthesia and Me Checklist, the easy to print out document helps you understand the role of the anesthesiologist and provides you with a checklist that you can keep handy.
