Another Legend over the Rainbow

Today I was saddened, along with many other Australians, by the news of rocker and entertainer Billy Thorpe’s death. Even though I was too young to be part of the music culture in his hey day, I was still touched by his musical talent.
Billy Thorpe wrote two biographies: Sex and thugs and rock ‘n’ roll: A year in Kings Cross, 1963-1964 and
Most People I Know (Think That I’m Crazy). Apparently both still sell really well.
I’m assuming he was also an avid journal writer, but am yet to prove this. Don’t be surprised if some such news shows up soon, though.

Yeah, I just heard the news too, that Billy Thorpe (Most People I Know Think That I’m Crazy) has died of a massive heart attack.
Billy was one of the great Australian Rockers. We all will miss him sadly.
Let’s not forget Billy. He’s a great inspiration to the younger rockers… the newer rock bands just wouldn’t be the same without influenc from the older greats like him.
Farewell Billy, you will always be remembered as the legend you were.
Rock on!
