Another step by New York city to handle diabetes

Gestational diabetes is a form of diabetes that strikes pregnant women. It usually subsides after child birth, but could return later, permanently. In New York, 4 percent of the pregnant women get gestational diabetes. To educate pregnant women about gestational diabetes New York city will send out information packets. These will contain warnings about gestational diabetes. If you can remember, a few months ago, New York became the first American city to track diabetes through the results of blood tests collected from the labs across the city. Though there are privacy issues associated with both the programmes, they are a step in the right direction.
