Anything by Shel Silverstein

Where the Sidewalk Ends I don’t think kids can ever have too many books and apparently it doesn’t stop just because they grow up. Britt wanted this particular book when she was in about grade three I think. Actually I have her teacher to thank for making reading fun. Each afternoon, she would pick someone from the class to pick a page and that’s the poem that she would read to them.

Britt is now 25 and for Christmas this year, she wanted “A Light in the Attic” to complete her set. But I just noticed that Silverstein didn’t stop with just two books. Just maybe she will be getting a couple more for Christmas 2006!A Light in the Attic
