Apparently He Is Into Me

Quick update, just in case you are curious, as I’ve been fairly share-y lately……
My boyfriend called me last week and asked if he could come for a visit. We talked things through and I’m open to seeing how things work out. I texted him yesterday afternoon to see what day he was going to be arriving and he texted back that he was about an hour away. Hhmm, interesting….. apparently he is “into” me after all.
When he arrived I could hear Sarah answer the door – she was very excited. She loves him very much. I feel like I care for him very much and I love him, but I’m not in the same mindset that I was before. I’m going to give it some time and see what comes. He is heading up the hill to do a project with his dad. I’m not sure how long he staying, but I think spending some time with his dad is a good idea.
Lastly, I live in California. Measure 8 passed yesterday. It is a Measure that will make gay marriage illegal again. I love my state, I feel we are progressive in so many ways, but today I am ashamed of us and our narrow-minded selfishness. Allowing two people to commit to each other and live their lives like any other couple in love should be the right of any citizen. If Measure 8 directly affects you in some way, I am very sorry.
I don’t see why people are against gay marriage. I’m sorry, but my future marriage is not going to mean any less if down the road, two men are getting married as well. So many people get married for the wrong reasons: money, fame, power. I’m for any marriage where two people love each other unconditionally, no matter what gender they are. That is the definition of marriage.

glad to hear he’s into you and that he stopped by to visit with ya’ll. Hopefully you can visit with him a few more times before he has to go back. Oh and sorry about the flaky election, I mean they just approved that gay marriage thing.
He’s staying with us for awhile. So, we will get some good visiting in. Thanks, Eliza. They did just approve it, you are right.
