Are Computers a Luxury?

We all get a little spoiled when things are good. High-speed Internet, multiple cars, and dishwashers are things that have made our lives easier. But do you need them all?

There was a fabulous article on MSN that talked about the things you need versus the things that are luxury items. A few of them might surprise you. For example, computers. Are computers an item you need?

According to the article, they are indeed an item you need. However, high-speed Internet isn’t a need for most people. For someone like me, who makes her living writing for (and surfing) the Web, it is a necessity. But not everyone really needs it.

With everything that is available online, however, you DO need a computer. Too many things are done online to go without one today, in my opinion.
