are you a fan of aprons?

I must admit, I tend to go for the utilitarian aprons myself 
I do enough baking that my aprons get messy awfully quickly around here… But when my mom sent me this link to “An Assembly of Aprons” from Threads Magazine I was charmed with the different styles & the care and attention that went into them.
And then, if that wasn’t enough – Kim from Indie Style File (she did an interview with me not too long ago) posted this wonderful creation!
I may have to re-think my feelings about making decorative aprons, I’m sure I can be less messy in the kitchen…
I must say that I am not much of an apron wearer – but I do have a special apron for Christmas. My mom and I have a Christmas baking tradition where we spend a day together baking before Christmas each year and one year I made us both aprons. Each Christmas they come out for baking day and for Christmas dinner.
However, the aprons in your post make me re-think my thinking about aprons too!

yes,i am a fan of aprons, i have several,some to christmas, my favourite is one with portuguese motivs. but i use normaly one with a litle cow,the poor aprons is oldie..but useful to protect me from the Cooking pots and frying pan.

I probably like the older embroidered ones the best, and I love the vintage retro styles, I love half aprons, full aprons, big aprons, little aprons, red aprons, blue aprons, small aprons, large aprons, black and whits aprons, colorful aprons, I think by now you realize that ~~
