Are You An "All or Nothing" Weight Loser?

Is it all or nothing with you? Do you either fling yourself fully into a weight loss program, or you give up and figure you may as well just eat because you won’t lose weight anyway?
This all-or-nothing attitude hurts. It causes you to doubt yourself and think you are weaker than you actually are. It makes you seek extreme diet plans because you know that you probably won’t stick to it for very long anyway.
The worst thing about being an all-or-nothing weight loser is that you will most likely gain every pound back that you lose. If you aren’t able to maintain a healthy attitude about your body and losing weight, then you will be much more likely to pick up the fork and start eating again.
What are your thoughts on this? Are you an all-or-nothing person?

I usually jump in with both feet for the first week or so. But diets never work well for me, since I’m an emotional eater. The Atkins diet just made me mean, and I completely snapped on day 6 of the South Beach Diet–too many foods that I really didn’t like. Also, whenever I diet, my mind is on food constantly, defeating the purpose.
Now, I take it one day at a time, one meal at a time. If I eat something bad, I make an effort to eat better the rest of the day.
That’s a terrific attitude! I have to do that, too. If not, I’m easily consumed by food. Now, isn’t *that* a hilarious perception?! Wow…I just shocked myself.
