Are You Waiting for a Friend?

“Don’t wait for people to be friendly, show them how.”

Unknown

I think that the loneliest time in a woman’s life is when her children are little and demand all of her attention. It leaves little time to go out and see “grown up” people. But that needn’t be the case…

Just yesterday I saw the young mom who lives next door, get her children ready, and wander down the sidewalk. And it seems to work. Every time I look out my office window, she’s chatting with someone. She probably knows more people on the street than I do!

Good observation. It is easy to sit and feel lonely and unwanted, but even easier to get out into the world. A young mother with children has so much to offer everyone.
