In a most recent piece of news, it was disclosed that the Arizona State University was actually working on its plans to start using solar panels in its campus. If this pushes through, this would be the hugest solar array that you could find in a university in the US.

Jonathan Fink is the director of the school’s Global Institute of Sustainability and he said, “We have a tremendous number of buildings that have flat roofs. It’s an ideal place to put these things.” The news also continued to disclose that the university was going to install solar panels. These would be spread out on around 135,000 square feet and these would be placed on rooftops.

That amount of solar panels would be able to supply 7% of the school’s needs for power and that would give life to around 4,600 computers. Yep, it’s that much. ASU would be starting the installation by August this year.
