Leonardo da Vinci’s beautiful drawing of a woman is the background for this interplay of artistic and scientific elements. Framed by quill bobbins, the piece is intended to unite the opposites in much the same way that they are united in my husband and me. Yes, that’s us…on a fishing trip!

The drawing has been transfered to the painted canvas using clear caulk. Tomorrow for Technique Tuesday, I’ll be explaining this simple and effective method for image transfer.
