Artful Stools

I love stools. Maybe it is because I am not on the tall side, which means I am always a few inches too short to reach the cereal or the curtain rods. Stools let me get stuff done. Or maybe it is because they are so functional and attractive. Whatever the reason, I do know one thing for sure. The stools I’ve been seeing on some of the handmade sites, like Art Fire and Etsy? Droolworthy!

On Art Fire, I am a big fan of Still Novo Design. This artisan makes some of the most amazing recycled wood stools I have ever seen. They have a wonderful simplicity to them and would be ideal for a room with Asian inspired decor.
On Etsy, my favorite stool has got to be the sweet little tuffet by Branch & Birdie. Can’t you just see Little Miss Muffet plopping herself down on it to eat her curds and whey?
Oh, and Studio Stebby Lee has got to have the most unique stool I’ve seen. It is covered in bottle caps and has a fun and funky look.
Of course, since I already have a stool (or two) in every room, I’m only window shopping today!
Are you a fan of the versatile stool or am I alone in my adoration of this type of furniture?
