Article Twelve (12)

Now what? Article Twelve (12)? What’s that? Twelve (12) Steps and Twelve (12) Traditions, right? Oh, and Twelve (12) Concepts too. Twelve (12) Articles?
Bill and Dr. Bob were obviously stuck on Twelve (12). Of anything.
The Current Conference Charter of The General Service Conference of Alcoholics Anonymous contains Twelve (12) Articles. It seems that number 12 is the more important. Here it is;
“12. General Warranties of the Conference: In all its proceedings, the General Service Conference shall observe the spirit of the A.A. Tradition, taking great care that the Conference never becomes the seat of perilous wealth or power; that sufficient operating funds, plus an ample reserve, be its prudent financial principle; that none of the Conference members shall ever be placed in a position of unqualified authority over any of the others; that all important decisions be reached by discussion, vote, and, whenever possible, by substantial unanimity; that no Conference action ever be personally punitive or an incitement to public controversy, that though the Conference may act for the service of Alcoholics Anonymous, it shall never perform any acts of government; and that, like the Society of Alcoholics Anonymous which it serves, the Conference itself will always remain democratic in thought and action.”
As I travel down the learning road of the Concepts it has become clear that this Article is necessary for a better understanding. Of course the principles contained in # 12 might also serve us well in our personal lives… but that’s just mpo.

Hey Mike! Rick T’s wife??? There’s sure been enough time that’s gone by for another, but I was only aware he was divorced years ago. I might know her if she’s one of us.
Big Bob? I remember Big Joe from W. Sayville and about a bunch of Big Bob’s. The one Big Bob I might think of was from the Patchogue area and was a paramedic, about the same number of years as us.

from what the boys say rick’s wife my have passed away? gsr meeting cancelled due SNOW ICE AND RAIN…I remember loving to drive in the snow the cops didnt know if we where drunk or just sliding around

Sounds like you’re getting close Mike… W. Sayville was a meeting Rick only went to on occasion, but obviously times have changed lots of things eh? So, who knows?
I knew lots of Rich’s also! There was a Rich from Blue Point back in the day… had quite a few years on us then…

Nothing new on Kevin. His body is healing and he probably doesn’t know it. Just a bit easier to breathe but no consciousness yet. May be quite a while to avoid having him attempt moving with his neck the way it still is.
