Asian Herb and Vegetable Garden
Hey, it’s almost spring! Are you thinking like I am about an Asian veggie and herb garden? We just moved to a new home so I’m eager to get started! Today I purchased two seed packets — edamame and red perilla — from Botanical Interests. I love this company because they’ve got really good seeds (high % of germination) and the artwork on the seed packets are unbelievable. They also provide a great deal of information on starting the seeds, growing tips, etc.
My personal seed exchange list can be found here. It is not an updated list, but if you’re interested in trading with me, feel free to send me an e-mail. This year I am especially interested in growing more Asian herbs and veggies — so if you’ve got some seeds, I’d love to trade with you!

hey stef!
you think i can do this in my NY apartmnent?:( i am trying, i ran through a pot of rosemary the other day..let’s see what happens..
absolutely, ces! borrow a book from the library about container gardening to get you started, or visit gardenweb.com — lots of helpful people there! the thing to do is buy yourself some pots and some miracle gro potting soil (or go organic if you like). holler if you need anything else:)
It’s a couple of years since the post but how about an update. I’m growing edamame for the first time. My neighbour’s plot is a sea of shiso at the moment.
