Ask Ford About the MyKey

February 23, 2009 by Christine

Have you heard about Ford’s MyKey? It’s a programmable key that lets parents set a top speed and audio volume in their teen’s car. Plus it can sound an alarm to remind teens to buckle up. A little piece of mind while your teen is behind the wheel.

Now we have the details, but do you still have some questions? Well ask Ford yourself.

Tomorrow Ford is premiering a new live, interactive streaming event called DigiKnows. You can talk directly with Ford experts and take an inside peek at up-and-coming auto technologies (all from the comfort of your couch).

To participate live, visit the Ford Safety SMPR on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 12:00 noon ET and click on the player. Feel free to ask a ton of questions. Hope to “see” you there.

  1. Paul says:

I think the idea of limiting volume makes sense, but speed’s not necessarily a good thing. There are times when you need to drive faster — like for passing a car or somewhere that the flow of traffic is at a fast speed.
