Don't do it if you are older than 30 and female! I live in Austin and unless you are under 26 as a female -- you'll be at the "upper end" of the single spectrum. Most of the men 20-45 date young (as in 26 or younger) -- even according to the men. When Forbes ranked it #1 everyone here wondered who paid them off. :) Other than the "older" single scene -- Austin IS a fabulous place to live! Allergies are pretty nasty but the weather is nice 9 months out of 12, the people are fun, fit, intelligent, unique and interested in the world. Everyone is into a "thon" of some sort -- marathons, triathalons, etc. And there is a TON to do. Anyway... had to pipe in my opinion. Good luck! Yikes! Another plus, they have a lot of running events there and we only have a few in the small town where I live.
