To go along with Hubby’s Black & Blue burger, I decided to make baked sweet potato fries. When I told him I’d bake the fries he was a little hesitant but said whatever I decide goes, of course. When you hear the term “black and blue”, it conjures an image far far away from food, right? Well, today might sort of change that. My husband made his Black & Blue Burger and as usual it was great. “Black” comes from the blackened beef patties, while “blue” comes from blue cheese. Creamed Spinach

Creamed Spinach can either be used a dip for chips or as a side dish for meal entrée. Whichever way you serve it as, it’s certainly easy to make. You don’t even need that much ingredients which is always a good thing. Creamed Spinach (Image © Dexie J Wharton) INGREDIENTS: 2 boxes of frozen spinah 3/4 cup cream 3 tbsp butter 3 tbsp flour salt and pepper a dash of nutmeg In a pot, melt butter. Add the flour and whisk until blended together. Slowly add the heavy cream while stirring at the same time. Cook until the whole thing thickens. Add the spinach. Wal-Mart’s Ranch Cobb Salad

More often than not, the salad from restaurants or pre-made salad from grocery stores are better than the ones I make at home. I’ve only been successful in salads when I buy the organic pack from the grocery store and then make my own vinaigrette. Digging into a plate of pre-made Ranch Cobb salad was definitely delish for lunch. It even came with a buttermilk ranch dressing.
