I got an email the other day from Tom asking me what type of flooring was the best for his kitchen. For me that was a very easy question to answer. Duraceramic is the best! The reason why I like Duraceramic flooring for a kitchen is the fact that it looks just like ceramic tile but is not cold like it. It comes with a 25 year warranty which is awesome and it also comes is many, many different styles and colors. The grout that is supplied with the tiles when you buy them is also stain resistant, so you know those wine parties you have that get out of control and you have little spills all over your kitchen, well that’s fine with this stuff too. When a dish falls off the counter, it don’t break either. Really I can keep going on and... [Read more]

Today’s post is inspired by the fact it is plus 28 Celsius outside and not a cloud in the sky. My seven year old son and I are off to the beach to relax in the sun, throw around the foot ball and just relax. I have spent hours upon hours renovating my home over the past 8 years but one thing I have always done so that I can always keep enjoying my renovating time is to make sure when the weather is nice, I take advantage of it. Why is it important to take a break from renovating. If you are at all like me, your busting your back to make your home nicer for you and your family right? If you don’t take some time out of your schedule for your family then your doing it for nothing in my mind. Getting out and enjoying a day at the... [Read more]

Hey guys and gals, I just wanted to give you a heads up on what it is like when a blogger gets busy. This past week has been one of my most busiest weeks for blogging yet. I have another blog that I run which has run into feed related issues and it not working right. I have had over 3000 emails hit just one of my in boxes as well as a few advertising campaigns start up. Crazy, crazy busy! To top that all off, I start a rehabilitation program for my torn disc’s in my back as well which has also sucked the energy right out of me. That’s the energy I need to make some really cool video’s for you guys on some products that we sent to me, there almost does not seem to be enough hours in a day to do what I need to get done. If you... [Read more]
Tips on how to choose quality faucets!

The other day I talked about faucets and a few things to look for before you buy one. There was something I was thinking about since then that I thought I needed to also add to that post but felt it was better to create a new post on it and give you another tip on picking the right faucet for your home. There is a lot of crap on the market and even the brand names have some products that are fit for the garbage can. Another way to pick a good, long lasting tap for your house in to pick it up and feel how heavy it is. The heavier it is, the more brass that is in the tap and the higher quality the faucet is going to be. That is not saying that plastic taps are all junk, but there are levels of good think plastic verses thin plastic as well and... [Read more]
Before you renovate – know your market

Before you decide to start renovating and putting those big plans into motion there is one person you need to sit down with first if you ever plan on moving or selling your home in the near future. That person is your real estate agent. Why is in important to sit down with a real estate agent before you tackle anything like building a new garage or putting in granite counter tops for your kitchen is you want to make sure your area that you live in will support such an expensive project, if every other house is worth 150 grand chances are your not going to get 250 grand for yours. There is no reason why anyone should lose money, in the long run just to have something that is really nice in there home. With out even realizing it you might be able... [Read more]
