b5media Science and Health Theme Day: Birth Defects
The first Thursday of every month, b5media’s Science and Health bloggers join together to write about a common topic (you can find a list of the blogs in the Science and Health Channel over in the far right sidebar). This month, we’re focusing on children and I came across a list of tips from KidsHealth to help parents cope with the news that their child has a birth defect (visit the March of Dimes and KidsHealth for more details).
- Acknowledge your emotions.
- Seek support.
- Celebrate your child.
- Get information.
- Obtain early interventions from experts.
- Use a team approach.
May our children have only the best in this world especially when it comes to their health.
