B5media’s Science And Health “Meme”… I Was Tagged Here At Diabetes Notes

I was tagged by Alicia at Mental Health Notes for our first ever science and health channel “meme” ever!  How darn exciting.  What is a “meme” you ask?  It is a list of questions that we see posted somewhere and choose to answer in order to give insight on who we really are as people, then someone else sees it and does the same and so on.  You get the idea.  So, I am doing a diabetic type meme here today to keep true to the subject at hand.  Enjoy the light side of Diabetes Notes and have a great day!

And now, my 8 random facts:

1.  I have been a diagnosed type 2 diabetic for exactly as long as my youngest daughter is old.

2.  I never had gestational diabetes with any of my 3 pregnancies.

3.  Sometimes my anxiety gets carried away and I picture myself laying in a hospital bed having had a heart attack due to complications from diabetes.

4.  I am a cardiac nurse by trade.

5.  Cheesecake is my weakness.

6.  I had my middle daughter tested for diabetes when she was 2 due to excessive thirst and urination.

7.   I lost my glucometer on several different occasions, only having to actually replace it once!

8.  I pray every night that my girls will live a happy, healthy life without diabetes.
