Baby’s First Halloween “DIY” Costume

As the halloween fast approaches, we parents have to start thinking of new and fun ways to dress up our kids. Surely, you would not want to cram and dilly dally before finding that costume your youngest child really wants.

But must we always buy off the rack halloween costumes every year? Maybe we can start doing it ourselves this time around? With a little imagination, a lot of patience, plus some internet help, we can come up with fabulous costume ideas to make our kids stand out in a crowd.

A great idea would be scouring our kids own closets for a “base” costume, then maybe look for odds and ends along the way. Does she still have that white nightie she wore for her first official photo session? Maybe you have a piece of white tulle tucked in your closet too. Just put those together and voila! You have an angel to go trick or treatin’!

Here’s another fun way I found on the net that could transform your child’s onesie into a one-of-a-kind pumpkin number. Wonderbaby.org has a step-by-step visual to how to do just that. Enjoy!
