How much is a babysitter worth?
The other day, a friend of mine told me about a great sitter she had who took care of the kids and went above and beyond by tidying up the house as well.
Babysittters like that are hard to come by so certainly they are going to be worth more. But how much more?
Let’s say you had a sitter who:
Took care of the kids
Did the dishes
Got the kids to clean their rooms
The kids adored him/her

That was our babysitter and trust me, she was well worth the $10 per hour that we paid her. Apart from the fact that she is clearly one of the most responsible teens I know, she left the kitchen and living room cleaner than they were when we left. The kids all said she was the best babysitter we have ever had. To me that is worth top dollar. Also by paying her well, she is more likely to be available next time we need her.
