Back To School Quick Tip: Car School Station

August 7, 2008 by Jennifer Chait

With back to school time just around the corner we’ll be looking at some back to school tips this month. If your kids are in school, and you drive them to school, you can save time by making a car school station box.

Grab a box, and fill it up with basics – pencils, pens, a box of colored pencils, dividers, a few notebooks, some filler paper, and whatever other school-necessary items you can think of. This way if your kid forgets something, and you’re halfway to school, you can dive into the box instead of driving home. With school supplies on sale right now, this is the perfect time to stock up for a car school station box.

I have had something similar in the car for the things the kids always seem to ask for, but had not thought of putting spare school supplies in it. I have crayons, pens and paper to keep them occupied, but I guess I’ll need to add a few things. Thanks for the great tip!

Yeah, it’s likely good to have a few car boxes – snacks, supplies, change of clothes and so on. It just saves on gas with return home trips.
