You know you can actually make a pasta dish without having to use marinara sauce or white creamy sauce like Alfredo sauce. That’s what I did with this Bacon & Smoked Sausage Pasta dish.

INGREDIENTS :
angel hair pasta, cook according to the box
5-6 strips of bacon, finely chopped
1 medium onion, chopped finely
3 cloves of garlic, chopped finely
2 pcs of smoked sausage, sliced thinly and diagonally
broccoli florets
a handful of capers
1/2 cup of cherry wine
2 scoops of the pasta water
In a non-stick pan, brown the bacon. Do not discard the bacon grease coz that’s the basis of the sauce. Unless of course it’s too much. Add the smoked sausage and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add the onions and garlic. Just let them cook for a bit. Stir in the cherry wine, season with salt & pepper, then add some of the water from the pasta. Stir in the broccoli florets. Cover and cook until the broccoli florets are soft but still crunchy.
Stir in the pasta into the pan and Voila. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese onto your plate if you want to.
