   ZZ — pure class. He’s got to be added to the list of greats (Pele, Eusebio, Maradona, Cruyff etc.)

   On the other hand the Brazilian baldy, Ronaldo, looks like he might just fall shy of that greatness.

   I’ll disagree: Ronaldo will be have a lasting place in World Cup lore. For the victories and the losses; for the record haul of total goals and the mystery ahead of the France ‘98 final.

I will forever want to know what was said that moved him to stop in his tracks, turn around and commit his crime. I suspect there are only two people in the world who know, and Materazzi sure as hell isn’t spilling the beans. I got the sense that something was under Zizou’s skin from the outset.
