Baldiness.com Question: Have You Had Your Head Professionally Shaved?

I’ve got a question for you: Have you ever gone to a barber and had your head shaved? Or are you a do-it-yourself person? Personally, I’ve only ever gone with a close buzz-cut. I don’t have the diligence to keep up with the clean-shaven look. But the current heat wave here in the midwest has me thinking about it.
I’d love to hear about your experience in the comments, either as a customer or a barber.

The closest I myself have gotten is having a hairdresser buzz the back of my bob—–
Ok, but for Charlie. He always gets a buzzcut, from a certain barber (a lovely Italian place—-photos of the Old Country). He is a bit unusual in this as many parents of autistic children have a tremendous difficulty with getting their kids to get their hairbut—my husband has made this one of his projects with Charlie.
Kristina,
I can’t help but smile, because Jake (my 2-yr old) FREAKED! on his one trip to the barber as soon as the clippers came out. He wouldn’t let that buzzing machine near him.
No, I have never had my head professionally shaved. My hair is has buzzed at the nape and around my ears. I would love to have my head shaved professionally.
I had my head shaved on March 11, 2007 at a St Baldrick’s event in DC. The guy who shaved my head was local barber. Although I was apprehensive before the even, I really loved the experience of having my head hsaved. It was a clipper shave that ended much too quickly. I plan to have my head shaved again in a less public forum.
I had my head shaved in March at a St Baldrick’s event in DC. Although I was nervous and apprehensive before it was my turn, really loved the experience, and for a good cause. I really want to have my head shaved again in a less public forum. It was a clipper shave that ended much too quickly. But it was great fun while it lasted.
