When I bought these bandages at Target I had no intention of reviewing them. I just really needed some good bandages. And Ultra-Strips do come in assorted and extra large as well. I grabbed these quickly because some women with carts were blocking me.

My wounds: I had a nasty paper cut, a knick of skin off the joint of my thumb and most recently a staple stab! The thumb injury was the worst because I kept re-injuring it. Yeah, I injured my hands when unpacking and packing. If I ever decide to become a pro packer, I’ll wear gloves.

I tried to dig out my receipt so I could tell you what I paid, but the receipts folder got all mixed up when I dropped it. : ) They were around $3 – $4. And they are “New.”

Why I’m impressed

Like the package says, these bandages don’t fall off. They stay in place when you wash your hands. I tried to avoid getting them wet, but sometimes it just happens.

They don’t feel like plastic, and they don’t tug at the skin when you remove them.

The package says they have a four-sided seal to better protect from germs. I guess they are talking about the extra area outside the part that goes on the wound. Gee, I’m so technical. But I will agree with the claim that the bandages are “thin, breathable and stretchable.”

Not so much

I guess you can’t have it all. The fabric quality of the bandage takes on a decidedly dirty look after a few hours. I was working with unpacking a lot, but they sure do get nasty looking – obviously dirty around the ridges. I guess someone needs to invent a dirt-free bandage.

They also don’t list their web address on the box. Don’t they know everyone gets online?

Also, why are the bandages made in China? They say Band-Aid is “America’s #1 Bandage Brand”, so I’d like to see them utilize the US. Don’t we need more work right now?

Have you tried these bandages?

  1. I have not tried them, but I will now. My girl Sarah is always in need of a bandaid.

  2. Hey Michelle. I must be like Sarah. I got yet another ding on my finger today.
